Take a spin through Aussie holidays of the past with MOTEL, the acclaimed live show from comedian and self proclaimed design nerd Tim Ross and musician Kit Warhurst.

Sentimental, nostalgic and of course hilarious, this is a must for anyone who has checked in and helped themselves to a twin pack of biscuits in a classic motel.

"Warhurst and Ross are comedic geniuses, highly talented singers and great lyricists. They will bring you laughter as you follow them on their journey in their old bench-seat Ford. 5 stars." - Arts Hub

"Hilarious" - The Age

For this special performance, they are taking over the stunning mid century space - Kingscliff Community Hall - recently rejuvenated by Aspect Architecture.

Kingscliff Community Hall

A modernist building of the early 1960s, Kingscliff’s Community Hall, Amenities and Visitor Information building sits unobtrusively on Marine Parade, the town’s beachfront avenue.  The complex was initially constructed as a singular building, however, over the years numerous poorly considered additions were added.  The original simplicity and intent were lost to many locals, who didn’t realise or recognise the potential of this unique public building at their doorstep.

Our response was centred around the idea that the project was more about what to reveal of the original structure, rather than what to add to the building.  All subsequent extensions and alterations to the original structure were removed.  The buildings were refurbished and a series of clear and distinguishable east to west penetrations were created.

This amazing building has now become a community landmark, a gathering space, and link to the past which so often is lost in small beachside towns.
